Orthodontist Uses Office for Toys for Tots Drop-Off

An orthodontics practice in Minneapolis, MN is using their office as a toy for tots drop off this season. Each patient who brings a toy gets a token, redeemable for a range of prizes.

Cosmopolitan Orthodontics, a Savage and Minneapolis orthodontics practice, is making it easy for patients to give to those in need this holiday season by serving as a Toys for Tots drop-off location.

The office invites patients to donate an unused, unwrapped gift. The Savage and Lakeville offices are drop-off points again this year, and the donation boxes will be at both offices through Dec. 19. Dr. Trudy Bonvino a pediatric orthodontist, whose orthodontic services include braces for children and adults, reminds patients that giving does more than make them feel good; they get something in exchange.

Ohio Dentist Gives Free Care to Veterans

An Ohio dentist has honored veterans by offering free dental care to them this year. Dr. Sheilah Gray and her team saw at least 40 veterans on Thursday, completing a range of dental needs for each patient.

Dr. Sheilah Gray honored veterans this year by offering free dental care at her Walnut Street practice.

On Thursday, Gray and her staff tended to the dental needs of at least 40 veterans, completing everything from comprehensive exams, X-rays, fillings, root canals and extractions.

Gray said she got the idea about giving back to veterans from a dental school friend, Dr. Vanna Nantz, who does a similar give-back day at her Centerville practice.

Gray said her brother, Ralph Gray, was a Vietnam veteran who died in 2007.

“I thought I should do that here, in honor of my brother to help serve our veterans,” she said.
